To make the student aware that the crayons are used only for colouring. |
Objectives :
The student will: 1. learn to regulate themselves and choose a suitable alternative for chewing and biting; 2. remember to keep the crayons back in their place after using them; 3. learn to use others’ crayons with their permission; 4. learn to express their sensory needs appropriately; 5. be aware that biting crayons is harmful to health; 6. understand the right way of using crayons. |
Social Narrative – I use crayons for colouring
A social narrative is a tool used to help individuals with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum, better understand social situations and how to appropriately respond to them. Here is a social narrative about using crayons only for colouring. The student has the habit of putting crayons inside the mouth due to sensory issues.
