- The next child in line will write the next number in the sequence. For example, the first child writes 51, the next writes 52, and so on. The other group will start with 61 and continue the sequence from there.
- Encourage the children to finish the relay first among the two groups.
Observations:
The teacher will observe if the children are able to understand and write the numbers in sequence.
Conclusion:
The children will learn to write numbers from 51 to 70.
Activity 2: Memory Game
Objective:
To write numbers from 51 to 70.
Importance of the activity for children:
Helps in developing:
- Numerical Skills (Number recognition, sequencing, place value)
- Cognitive Skills (Memory, pattern recognition, attention to details, concentration)
- Fine motor Skills (Holding a pencil, writing)
- Problem solving Skills (Identifying the missing numbers)
- Language Skills (Vocabulary building, listening, comprehension, communication)
- Social Skills (Patience, appreciating others)
- Emotional Skills (Building confidence in numerical abilities, experiencing a sense of achievement, and taking pride in learning new skills)
Resources required:
Flashcards from 51 to 70
Setting for the activity:
The activity can be done indoors or outdoors depending on the space availability.
Type of activity: Individual activity
Preparation of activity:
The teacher should place the flashcards from 51 to 70 face down in front of the children.
Role of the teacher: Demonstrator and facilitator
Procedure:
- The teacher picks any two flashcards at random.
- The teacher shows the numbers on the flashcards and then turns them face down.

- Ability of the children to write the numbers correctly. Are they forming the numbers legibly and in the correct sequence?
- How would they analyse and figure out which number was skipped?
Conclusion:
The children will be familiar with the numbers from 51 to 70.
