Being Mindful While Sneezing

Goal and Objectives

Goal: To assist the child in recognising the significance of practising good hygiene and practising the healthy habits when they feel the need to sneeze.

Objectives:

The child will learn to:

- - say ‘excuse me’ when sneezing in public.
  - cover their mouth with their elbow while sneezing.
  - use a handkerchief or tissue to cover their mouth when they sneeze.
  - dispose of the tissue in the trash bin after using it.
  - keep their hands clean to avoid germs.
  - avoid things that trigger their sneezing.

Social Narrative

This narrative describes a social situation or activity and answers key questions: What, When, Where, Why and How. It helps individuals with special needs understand the appropriate behaviours and responses for similar situations.
